On ‘Feeling Blue’

Back in May, I was honoured to have my poem ‘Feeling Blue’ co-win the University of Edinburgh Lewis Edwards Memorial Prize. You can read it in full on their blog here.

It’s about Bonnie Blue and it came together over more than a year of refining and redrafting and exposing it to random open mic nights (cue many uncomfortable silences and men being very keen to tell me they weren’t fans of hers). I’m really proud of it and hope you’ll enjoy!
