www.mayaleher.com is back!

After a bit of a break, this website is back up and running! Instead of focusing purely on book reviews and short stories, this iteration of the blog will include poetry and essays as well. To reflect this change, I’ve renamed it “Fireletter Press”. Please have a read and comment if you like what you see 🙂

Maya Le Her

Maya Le Her is the inaugural recipient of an academic scholarship based on her passion for literature, and particularly enjoys reading poetic feminist prose by authors such as Virginia Woolf, Margaret Atwood, and Bernardine Evaristo. She also writes her own poetry and has been published in "Arlo's Art Therapy Journal", a limited edition international collaboration encouraging catharsis through creative practice. For the State Library of NSW, Maya contributed an essay to Volume 4 of the "10 Works in Focus" collection and recorded lines for the "Dead Central" exhibition. Maya was a 2022 Youth Curator for the Sydney Writers' Festival, and moderated a session on the ideas of strength and femininity. In her spare time, Maya enjoys walking in nature while listening to modern female indie singers or retro rock.
